Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a strong background in deceased donor organ procurement (lung and heart) and advanced cardiothoracic surgical procedures. This role requires a medical professional with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee deceased donor cardiothoracic organ (lung and heart) procurement procedures.

  • Conduct organ viability assessments to determine transplant suitability.

  • Participate in or lead advanced cardiothoracic surgical procedures as needed.

  • Collaborate with transplant teams and external healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate documentation using electronic messaging platforms and office software.

  • Operate with professionalism and calm in high-stakes and time-sensitive environments.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD degree or equivalent with specialized training in cardiothoracic surgery.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in:

    • Deceased donor cardiothoracic organ procurement (lung and heart), and/or

    • Performing advanced cardiothoracic surgical procedures.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Proven ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.

  • Proficiency with electronic messaging platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
