Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon with a strong background in deceased donor organ procurement (lung and heart) and advanced cardiothoracic surgical procedures. This role requires a medical professional with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform and oversee deceased donor cardiothoracic organ (lung and heart) procurement procedures.

Conduct organ viability assessments to determine transplant suitability.

Participate in or lead advanced cardiothoracic surgical procedures as needed.

Collaborate with transplant teams and external healthcare providers to ensure seamless coordination.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Maintain accurate documentation using electronic messaging platforms and office software.

Operate with professionalism and calm in high-stakes and time-sensitive environments.
Required Qualifications:

MD degree or equivalent with specialized training in cardiothoracic surgery.

Minimum 5 years of experience in:

Deceased donor cardiothoracic organ procurement (lung and heart), and/or
-
Performing advanced cardiothoracic surgical procedures.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.

Proven ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.

Proficiency with electronic messaging platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
