We are seeking a skilled Mammography Radiologist for a locum tenens assignment in Springfield, MA. This position supports a high-volume diagnostic environment, providing critical breast imaging services to a diverse patient population. You will join a dedicated team of 8 radiologists (transitioning to 6) in a facility that prioritizes clinical excellence and compassionate care.


-Schedule:
Days; Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
-Location: Springfield, MA.
-Team: Collaborative radiology group with full administrative and technical support.
-Charting: Epic EMR, PowerScribe, and PACS.

  • Travel & Lodging: Professional travel and housing arrangements provided for eligible candidates

Job Responsibilities

-Interpret screening and diagnostic mammography and breast ultrasound.
-Perform essential breast procedures including stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and breast localization.
-Manage a consistent daily case volume to support hospital and outpatient needs.
-Provide expert consultations for an Emergency Department seeing approximately 120 patients per day.

Qualifications

-Board Certification: Board Certified or "Truly" Board Eligible in Radiology [REQUIRED].
-Licensure: Active Massachusetts Medical License (or proof of pending application submission) [REQUIRED].
-Certifications: Current ACLS and BLS [REQUIRED].
-Credentialing: Most recent Self-Query NPDB report (pulled within the last 30 days) required at time of presentation.

Working Hours

-Shifts: 8-hour day shifts; 40 hours per week.
-On-Call: No weekend or after-hours call requirements.

Skills

-Proficiency in high-volume mammography interpretation and breast interventional procedures.
-Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Level II Trauma Center environment.
-Strong communication skills for multi-disciplinary collaboration.
