Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL, is seeking a BC/BE Breast Imaging Radiologist certified in stereotactic breast biopsies to join our growing radiology team at Resurrection Medical Center, delivering high-quality, compassionate care to Chicago's diverse communities.

Position Highlights:

  • Hospital: Resurrection Medical Center - a 337-bed acute care facility on Chicago's northwest side, offering 24/7 emergency services, comprehensive cancer care, women's health, cardiology, neurology, stroke, orthopedics, and advanced imaging - all on one campus with robotic/minimally invasive capabilities and dedicated impatient rehabilitation.
  • Key Features: ACR-designated Comprehensive Breast Imaging Center and NAPBC-accredited Breast Care Center, including digital mammography, 3D tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and full support for stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided breast biopsies; multidisciplinary team with breast care coordinators, nurse navigators, tumor boards, and integrated oncology/surgical support for seamless diagnosis-to-treatment pathways.
  • Practice Setting: Hospital-employed full-time role focused on breast imaging and interventions, with a high-volume screening/diagnostic mammography program serving an underserved urban population, plus opportunities for general radiology if desired. Strong referral base from primary care, oncology, gynecology, and emergency services.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret a high-volume of screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, breast MRIs, and related imaging studies with a focus on early detection and accurate diagnosis.
  • Perform stereotactic breast biopsies (core needle) as a core procedural competency, along with ultrasound-guided and MRI-guided biopsies when indicated, ensuring precise, minimally invasive tissue sampling.
  • Provide timely consultations for abnormal findings, coordinate with multidisciplinary breast team (oncologists, surgeons, pathologists) to develop patient-centered care plans and facilitate rapid workup/treatment pathways.
  • Participate in breast tumor board/multidisciplinary conferences, quality assurance reviews, and peer learning to maintain high standards in breast imaging and intervention.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Fellowship training or significant experience in Breast Imaging
  • Certification and proficiency in stereotactic breast biopsies
  • Eligible for Illinois medical license

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $450,000 -$600,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
