We are seeking a skilled Radiologist to provide locum services for a high-volume breast imaging practice. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking consistent weekday coverage in an acute care hospital setting. Coverage is needed beginning January 2026 for an ongoing contract with potential for an ongoing placement.
🏥 Job Details:
Setting: Acute care hospital, multiple locations
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (standard 8-hour shifts)
Coverage: Scheduled shifts only; no call required
Shift Commitment: Full-time weekday coverage
Patient Volume: 10–12 diagnostic cases/day, 6 breast biopsies/day, 60+ screening mammograms/day
Patient Population: Adults
Modalities: Screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, 3D tomosynthesis
Focus Areas: Breast imaging with emphasis on diagnostic studies
Procedures: Breast biopsies (stereotactic and ultrasound-guided) required
Team Involvement: Participation in breast care team activities including tumor boards and patient consults
Systems: EMR: Epic; Mammography: Hologic; Ultrasound dictation: Philips iSite and M Modal
📋 Requirements:
Board Certification: Required in Radiology
License: Active state license required (no willingness to license)
Certifications: MQSA certification required; DEA and other applicable credentials
Experience: Must be comfortable with screening, diagnostic mammography, and breast biopsy procedures
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60–90 days; temporary privileges available
