The Pulmonology opportunities in Tyler, Texas:

-Start date: July 1, 2018

-Duration: on-going for a minimum of 3 months

-Inpatient and/or Outpatient opportunities available!

-For Outpatient:

-Physician will see up to 6 new patients per day, and between 4-14 follow ups

-Schedule: Monday – Friday, no weekends no call

-Shift: 8a-5p

-For Inpatient:

-12 hour shifts; 7a-7p

-Physician will treat 10-12 patients per day

-Hospitalist is primary so the PUD will just do consults only, no admits

-Must do BRONCH – facility has a BRONCH lab

Pulmonology Services:

  • Obstructive lung disease
    • ​COPD
    • Chronic bronchitis and emphysema
    • Asthma
    • Bronchiectasis
  • Other lung diseases
    • ​Pulmonary hypertension
    • Pleural effusions
    • Pneumonias
  • Diagnosis and treatment of early and advanced lung cancer, including:
    • ​Interstitial lung disease
    • Asbestos-related disease
    • Abestosis cough
  • Interventional pulmonary medicine capabilities include:
    • ​Bronchoscopy - diagnostic and therapeutic
    • LASER bronchoscopy
    • Endobronchial brachytherapy
    • Endobronchial ultrasound
    • Pleuroscopy
    • Cardio-pulmonary exercise testing

**Requirements: Must be Board Certified in Pulmonology, active TX medical license, clean background for expedited credentialing**
