Opportunity Overview

  • Pulmonary Medicine physician needed for a gap in coverage
  • 0.25 FTE
  • 6-month assignment
  • Outpatient clinic setting
  • Clinic privileges
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Average 14-16 patients per day
  • No call, rounding, or admissions required

Schedule & Coverage

  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
  • Initially 1 week per month, with coverage expected to space out to 1 week every other month or quarterly
  • Physician will work independently
  • Support available from Family Medicine, Orthopedics, General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Pediatrics during weekdays, with 24/7 Hospitalist and Emergency Department coverage

Clinical Details

  • Outpatient pulmonary care
  • No required procedures
  • Adult and geriatric patients
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Applicant must provide documentation of relevant clinical activity within the previous 24 months
  • Case log requirement may be waived for applicants who completed training within the previous year

Requirements

  • MD/DO
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Alaska medical license and/or IMLC strongly preferred
  • Candidates willing to obtain an Alaska license will be considered
  • EPIC proficiency required
