Shift Details
- Estimated Start Date: January 1, 2027
- Requested Date of Coverage and Schedule: January 1, 2027 start. 30 shifts per month in total needed across all locums. Coverage is strictly capped at 7 consecutive days to allow for lighter days between shifts. Providers will only be assigned one location per 12-hour shift.
- Schedule Details:
- Facility A (Level 1): 24/7 in-house. Pulmonary onsite.
- Facility B (Level 2): 7a-7p in-house, 7p-7a pager. Pulmonary onsite.
- Facility C (Level 3): 7a-7p in-house, 7p-7a pager. No Pulmonary onsite.
- *Days include rounding. Weekends required.*
- Number of Shifts Needed per Month: 30
- Required Procedures:
- Pulmonary: Ventilation management, invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy), non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP), bronchoscopy (diagnostic, and diagnostic with BAL), chest tube insertion, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, thoracentesis, therapeutic with foreign body extraction.
- Critical Care Medical: Management of cardiac/respiratory arrest and failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, OD/poisoning, and drowning.
- Critical Care Surgical: Management of pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular/thoracic patients.
- Preferred Procedures: PA catheter insertion, dialysis catheter placement, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, lumbar puncture, and paracentesis.
- Patient Population: ICU
- Case Mix: Coverage Type: Inpatient Trauma (Levels I, II, & III). 48 ICU beds total. No supervision required. Lab and X-ray available onsite.
- Trauma Level: Level 3
Licensing and Privileging
- License: An active Colorado state license or an IMLC membership is required.
- Willing to License: No
- Estimated Privileging Timeline: 90 to 120 days
