RecruitWell is seeking a Physician specializing in Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease for a locum tenens call-only coverage opportunity at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. This is a short-term assignment running from September 17, 2026 through September 21, 2026, providing vacation coverage in an inpatient setting.

Provide inpatient pulmonary disease consultation and management

Handle beeper call with a 30-minute response time requirement

See approximately 25-30 patients per shift

Conduct 6-10 average phone consultations

Participate in both rounding activities

Manage patient encounters in a Cerner EMR system

MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease or Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine

Current medical license in Alabama or IMLC membership

BLS certification required

Fellowship training preferred

CV/Resume required for bid submission

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is part of Community Health Systems and features a Level 3 trauma center with Level 3 pediatric facilities. The facility utilizes Cerner EMR and offers temporary privileges availability. Temporary privileges are available, and credentialing is estimated to take 14 days. Insurance is provided by vendor.
