Locums Pulmonologist – Chattanooga, Tennessee
Assignment Dates / Availability:
- 5/18 – 5/24
- 6/14 – 6/21
- 7/13 – 7/19
- 7/20 – 7/26
- 9/14 – 9/20
- 9/21 – 9/27
- 11/23 – 11/29
- 12/28 – 12/31
- Ongoing need: 7 on / 7 off coverage
Schedule:
- Onsite: ~7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday–Sunday)
- Call: Overnight 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Minimal call burden (non-emergent; intensivist covers urgent needs)
Practice Setting:
- Hospital-based
- EMR: Epic
- Support Staff: Pulmonary PA
Licenses & Certifications (REQUIRED):
- Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine
- Tennessee & Georgia medical licenses
- DEA certification
- ACLS (required)
- BLS (nice to have)
Procedures / Duties:
- Round on new consults and follow-ups
- Order and interpret testing
- Required procedures:
- Thoracentesis
- Chest tubes
- PleurX catheters (can refer to IR)
- Bronchoscopy
Volume / Workflow:
- New consults: ~2–5/day (shared with PA)
- Patient load: ~8–15/day (shared with PA)
- Pulmonary-focused cases
Reason for Coverage:
