Our client, a renowned multi-specialty physician group dedicated to providing comprehensive and patient-centered healthcare across the Hudson Valley region, is hiring a Pulmonologist. Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient pulmonary evaluations, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, infections, and sleep-related breathing disorders.
- Order, interpret, and review diagnostic studies such as pulmonary function tests, imaging, and laboratory results.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans adhering to evidence-based guidelines.
- Collaborate with primary care providers and specialists to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Coordinate with hospital-based providers for inpatient consultations and services.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, adhering to clinical standards and policies.
- Educate and counsel patients to support disease management and preventive health measures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.
Requirements:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited Pulmonary Medicine fellowship.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease.
- Active or eligibility for a New York State medical license.
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
