We are seeking a full time Pulmonary Physician to join our team in Rutland, VT. Our pulmonary outpatient office is conveniently located within the hospital and is shared with two other experienced pulmonologists. The practice is well-supported with full staff, a comprehensive Pulmonary Function Testing lab, and access to a wide range of medical services.

Compensation: Highly competitive base salary with generous benefit and relocation package.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient care for patients with a variety of pulmonary conditions, including severe asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer.
  • Manage medication for patients with chronic lung diseases.
  • Utilize the hospital’s full range of radiology services, including bronchoscopy and pathology.
  • Perform procedures in a full-service Endoscopy suite equipped with Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and navigational bronchoscopy.
  • Collaborate with the onsite Foley Cancer Center, which offers chemotherapy, interventional radiology, and is staffed with full-time medical and radiation oncologists.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment plans.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pulmonary Disease.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Vermont.
  • Additional subspecialty training or experience in critical care, sleep medicine, or interventional pulmonology.
  • Experience with advanced bronchoscopic techniques including EBUS and navigational bronchoscopy.
