Pulmonary Critical Care Locums Job in Colorado | Varied | January 1 - April 30 | Assignment #117425
Coverage Details
-- Credentialing time frame: 90-120 days
Shift Details
-- Coverage is capped at 7 consecutive days and will rotate between locations to allow for lighter days between shifts
-- Coverage needed is 30 shifts per month in total for all locums
Location 1: Level I Trauma
-- In house coverage: 7a-7p – Includes rounding
-- In house coverage: 7p-7a
-- Other pulmonology physicians will be onsite with locum
Location 2: Level II Trauma
-- In house coverage: 7a-7p includes rounding
-- Offsite pager call: 7p-7a
-- Other pulmonology physicians will be onsite with locum
Location 3: Level III Trauma
-- In house coverage: 7a-7p includes rounding
-- Offsite pager call: 7p-7a
-- No other Pulmonology physicians are onsite with locum
Requirements
-- Board Certified in Pulmonology and Critical Care
-- Active Colorado license or active IMLC
-- Recent Level I Trauma experience within the last 24 months
-- Clean malpractice + background
-- Active ACLS, BLS, and DEA - Highly Preferred
-- Local/drive-in candidates - Highly Preferred
Required Procedures / Skills
-- Critical Care Intensivist experience for ICU
-- Ventilation management
-- Invasive ventilation: ETT, NT, tracheostomy
-- Non-invasive ventilation: BiPAP, CPAP
-- Diagnostic bronchoscopy
-- Diagnostic bronchoscopy with bronchial alveolar lavage
-- Chest tube insertion
-- Central line insertion
-- Arterial line insertion
-- Thoracentesis
-- Therapeutic bronchoscopy with foreign body extraction
-- Medical critical care: cardiac arrest/failure, respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, OD/poisoning, drowning, etc. patients
-- Surgical critical care: pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular/thoracic patients
Assignment Details
-- Setting: Inpatient, Level I, II, and III Trauma
-- Lab onsite and x-ray onsite
-- Number of ICU beds: 48
-- No other Pulmonology physicians are onsite with the locum at Greeley Hospital
-- 20 pulmonologists and 10 mid-levels in the group
-- Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days
-- EMR: Epic
