Locums – Loveland, Colorado, Pulmonary Critical Care Job (IMLC Accepted)

Reason for Coverage: Gaps in coverage

Practice Setting:

• Inpatient

• Level I, II, & III Trauma

• Provider will be assigned to only one location

• Local candidates highly preferred

• ICU beds: 48

• EMR: Epic

• Lab onsite

• X-ray onsite

Schedule & Call:

• 30 shifts per month

• In-house coverage: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., including rounding

• Offsite pager call: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

• Available shift options:

  • In-house: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.

  • In-house: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

  • In-house: 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. + night call 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.

• Other Pulmonology physicians may be onsite depending on location

Practice & Support:

• Approximately 20 additional Pulmonologists

• 10 mid-level providers

• Inpatient Pulmonology experience preferred

• Critical Care Intensivist experience required for ICU coverage

Pulmonary Procedures:

• Ventilation management

• Invasive ventilation: ETT, NT, tracheostomy

• Non-invasive ventilation: BiPAP, CPAP

• Bronchoscopy

• Diagnostic bronchoscopy

• Bronchoalveolar lavage

• Chest tube insertion

• Central line insertion

• Arterial line insertion

• Thoracentesis

• Therapeutic bronchoscopy with foreign body extraction

Critical Care:

• Management of cardiac arrest/failure

• Respiratory arrest/failure

• Sepsis

• Metabolic disorders

• Renal failure

• Overdose/poisoning

• Drowning

• Other medical critical care conditions

• Pre- and post-operative care for general, vascular, orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, and thoracic surgical patients

Additional Critical Care Procedures:

• Pulmonary artery catheter insertion

• Dialysis catheter placement

• Diagnostic/therapeutic taps

• Lumbar puncture

• Paracentesis

Requirements:

• Board Certified Pulmonology & Critical Care

• Active Colorado license or IMLC accepted

• ACLS certification

• BLS certification

• DEA certification

• NRP certification
