REQUIRED PROCEDURES

  • Ventilation Management (Invasive & Non-invasive)
  • Bronchoscopy (Diagnostic, BAL, Therapeutic with foreign body extraction)
  • Chest tube insertion, Central line insertion, Arterial line insertion, Thoracentesis
  • PA catheter insertion, Dialysis catheter placement, Diagnostic/therapeutic taps, Lumbar puncture, Paracentesis

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Board: Board Certified Pulmonology & Critical Care
  • Licenses: Active CO License or Universal License (IMLC)
  • DEA: Active DEA Certification
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
  • Experience: Recent (last 24 months) Level I Trauma experience
  • Other Qualifications: Local/drive-in candidates highly preferred; ability to perform all required procedures; clean malpractice/background; EPIC proficiency

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient pulmonary and critical care coverage at Medical Center of the Rockies, Poudre Valley Hospital, and Greeley Hospital.
  • Perform pulmonary procedures including bronchoscopy, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, and thoracentesis.
  • Manage ICU patients requiring ventilation, hemodynamic support, and treatment for acute medical/surgical conditions.
  • Round on general pulmonary floor patients during day shifts.
  • Cover night call (in-house at MCR; offsite pager at PVH and GH) for consults and admissions.
