Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine Locum Tenens Opportunity - Las Cruces, NM Position OverviewMountainView Regional Medical Center is seeking a Locum Tenens Physician specializing in Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine to provide call coverage on an inpatient basis. This is a call-only position designed to support extra volume needs at our Level 3 Trauma facility.

Key Responsibilities
Provide beeper call coverage for the inpatient pulmonary and critical care population
Manage 15-25 patient encounters per shift with 10-15 patients actively seen
Respond to call within 30 minutes
Handle 3-5 average phone consultations per shift
Round on assigned patients with approximately 30% hands-on clinical time
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including 12 RNs, 4 MAs, 2 PA/NPs, and 2 office staff members
Utilize the Medhost EMR system
Candidate Requirements
Board Certification: Certified in Internal Medicine - Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
License: Active New Mexico medical license required
Certifications: BLS certification required
Education: Fellowship in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine preferred
Experience: Board certification must be current and active
