Assignment Details:
- Specialty: Pulmonary/Critical Care
- Location: Greenville, SC
- Start: Intermittent coverage, potentially beginning February 2027
- Providers Needed: 1–2
- Reason for Coverage: New parent leave
- Setting: 100% inpatient / hospital-based
- Patient Population: Adult & geriatric only; no pediatrics or neonates
- Call: No call
- Leadership/Teaching: None required
- EMR: Epic
Schedule:
Two coverage options are available:
- ICU: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Hospital Pulmonary/Critical Care: 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
- Both schedules may include Monday–Sunday coverage
- Weekend coverage required
Clinical Volume & Responsibilities:
- Hospital: 10–15 patients/day
- ICU: 10–15 patients/day
- Must be comfortable caring for critically ill ICU patients and managing general pulmonary consults
- Facility has 20 ICU beds, 12 CCU beds and 6 CVICU beds (38 critical-care beds total)
- Hospital Pulmonology daily census: 40 patients
- On weekdays, the service typically has up to 3 physicians and 3 APCs covering Pulmonary/Critical Care
