Start Date: Intermittent, possibly starting February 2027

Position Details:

• 1–2 providers needed
• Coverage for new parent leave
• Inpatient/hospital-based
• Coverage may involve multiple facilities
• No leadership or teaching responsibilities
• 100% inpatient
• Adult and geriatric patient population
• No pediatrics or neonate care
• No call
• Weekend coverage required
• Temporary privileges available with clean background
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 120 days / 4 months
• Travel reimbursement available for airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage at IRS rate

Patient Population:

• Adult and geriatric
• Hospital Pulmonary patients
• ICU patients
• Hospital census: 10–15 patients per day
• ICU census: 10–15 patients per day
• Hospital Pulmonology daily census averages 40 patients

Setting:
Inpatient / Hospital-Based
Bon Secours – St. Francis Downtown
245-bed facility
20 ICU beds, 12 CCU beds, and 6 CVICU beds

Responsibilities:

• Care for intensive care patients
• Provide hospital general Pulmonology consultations
• Provide Pulmonary/Critical Care coverage

Required Procedures:

• Intensive Care patient management
• General Pulmonology consultations

EMR System:
Epic

Support Staff:

• Up to 3 physicians per weekday
• Up to 3 APCs per weekday
• Pulmonary/Critical Care service team

Days Per Month:
Not specified

On-Call/Weekends:
No call; Monday–Sunday coverage

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified in Critical Care/Pulmonology
• Active South Carolina license required
• Active ACLS required
• Active DEA required
• Critical Care/Pulmonology Fellowship required
