Position Details:

• 1–2 providers needed
• Coverage for new parent leave
• ICU and hospital-based Pulmonary/Critical Care coverage
• Monday–Sunday coverage
• No call
• Adult and geriatric patients only
• 100% inpatient
• 20 ICU beds, 12 CCU beds, and 6 CVICU beds
• 38 total critical care beds
• Hospital Pulmonology daily census averages 40 patients
• Hospital census: 10–15 patients per day
• ICU census: 10–15 patients per day
• Up to 3 physicians and 3 APCs in the hospital per weekday for Pulmonary/Critical Care service
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days / 4 months
• Temporary privileges available with a clean background

Patient Population:

• Adult and geriatric
• No pediatrics or neonate care
• Hospital and ICU patients

Setting:
Inpatient / Hospital-Based
Bon Secours – St. Francis Downtown
245-bed facility

Responsibilities:

• Care for intensive care patients
• Provide general hospital Pulmonology consultations
• Provide Pulmonary/Critical Care coverage

Required Procedures:

• Must be able to care for intensive care patients
• Must be able to provide hospital general Pulmonology consultations

EMR System:
Epic

Support Staff:

• Up to 3 physicians per weekday
• Up to 3 APCs per weekday

Days Per Month:
Not specified

On-Call/Weekends:
No call; Monday–Sunday coverage

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified in Critical Care/Pulmonary
• Active South Carolina license
• Active ACLS
• Active DEA
• Critical Care/Pulmonology Fellowship
• Board Certified required
