THE LOCATION — Tucson, AZ
Tucson delivers what few cities can — 350 days of sunshine, dramatic Sonoran Desert landscapes, and a cost of living that lets physicians build real wealth. Nestled between five mountain ranges with saguaro-studded foothills as your backdrop, the city offers world-class hiking at Sabino Canyon, Mount Lemmon's alpine escape just 45 minutes from your front door, and Saguaro National Park literally at the city limits. The dining scene earned Tucson UNESCO City of Gastronomy status — the first in the United States — with a culinary heritage spanning centuries of Sonoran, Mexican, and Native American traditions. The University of Arizona brings a vibrant cultural and intellectual energy, from Wildcat basketball to the Arizona State Museum. Families thrive here with excellent public and private schools, safe master-planned communities in the Catalina Foothills, Oro Valley, and Marana, and a genuine warmth that makes newcomers feel at home within weeks. Tucson International Airport connects you to major hubs, and Phoenix is a quick 90-minute drive north for additional amenities.
