Top multispecialty practice in Essex County NJ with a large focus on quality care is seeking a pulmonary critical care physician to assist in their coverage of patients of the practice. Job Description:


Compensation : $325000 - $350000 Job ID : 41698

Job Function:

  • Provide intensivist support for the organization’s hospitalist team, caring for admitted patients.

  • Cover a 27-bed ventilator unit (planned to close) and support ventilator care at partnered SNFs.

  • Spend two half-days per week in the office seeing pulmonary patients, with the remainder of the week covering ICU and ventilator patients.

  • Participate in the hospitalist team’s call pool, approximately 1:5 to 1:6 weeks.

  • Collaborate with an NP to support inpatient care and contribute to building a strong specialty program, with the group completing 800 admissions last year.

  • Pursue additional training in allergy medicine to help expand an allergy practice within the group.

  • Utilize the MediTab EMR system for documentation and patient management.

  • Maintain a strong focus on quality care, reviewing weekly quality reports outlining patient services, referrals, wellness measures, and patient feedback.

  • Fellowship training in pulmonary critical care required.
  • Board eligibility/board certification required.
  • License in NJ required at start of employment.
