Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board-Certified Critical Care / Pulmonology Physician for a full-time nocturnist role with an established regional health system in the Midwest. This position is an urgent and high-priority need for a respected ICU and pulmonary group expanding its care model.
This is a must-fill role and offers an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team delivering high-acuity care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Rotate between ICU, inpatient bronchoscopy, and outpatient pulmonary clinic
- Perform and manage all critical care procedures (intubation, central lines, chest tubes, etc.)
- Manage ventilators and all aspects of pulmonary critical care
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Must be comfortable in an autonomous nocturnist role
Qualifications
- Will consider candidates boarded only in Critical Care if full-time and with strong clinical background (subject to client review)
- Previous ICU and bronchoscopy experience required
- Must be eligible for licensure in Wisconsin (fast-track licensure options may be discussed)
- DEA eligibility for Wisconsin
Working Hours
Ideal schedule: 7 on / 7 off, 12-hour night shifts (5p–5a)

- Able to work independently in an open ICU setting
- Skilled in inpatient and outpatient pulmonary care
- Strong communication and team-based care mind
