A respected academic medical center on the Gulf Coast is seeking a Pulmonary & Critical Care physician to join its growing division. This position offers a flexible structure tailored to your professional interests, with protected time for teaching, leadership, and clinical program development. Whether you're early in your career or an experienced physician ready for a new chapter, this role provides both purpose and balance.


Practice Overview

  • Academic team with residents, fellows, and APP support across the ICU and clinic
  • Customizable clinical track: outpatient pulmonary, critical care, combined Pulm/CCM, or add sleep medicine
  • Closed ICU model with full subspecialty support and telehealth consult access
  • Leadership and mentorship opportunities in education and faculty development

Schedule

  • 7-on/7-off ICU rotation with home call shared among 6-8 intensivists
  • Flexible pulmonary clinic schedule: 1-4 sessions weekly
  • Weekend call built into ICU coverage; no separate clinic call
  • Outpatient-only track available for reduced intensity or late-career transitions

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary of $340,000 with bonus incentives starting in year three
  • Additional income from regional rotations and procedural work
  • Up to $8,500 relocation support, full benefits, and state retirement plan
  • Two-year salary guarantee with bonus potential exceeding 20% annually
