Job description
We are seeking a Triple Board-Certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine to provide in-house call coverage during a vacation period at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. This is a locum tenens role with coverage needed from. Candidates must hold an active Missouri license and meet all board certification requirements. No exceptions.
Job Responsibilities
Manage an average of 5 patients per 24-hour shift
Handle 3 admissions daily
Respond to phone consults and patient needs within 15 minutes
Participate in both inpatient rounding and outpatient care
No supervision of APPs or teaching responsibilities required
Qualifications
Triple Board Certified in:
Internal Medicine
Pulmonary Disease
Critical Care Medicine
Fellowship training in Pulmonary & Critical Care – Required
ACLS and BLS certifications – Required
Minimum board eligible status accepted only if certifications are in process
Working Hours
End Date: June 13, 2025
Call Coverage Only: In-house
Future needs include 2 long weekends per month (Fri 8 AM – Mon 8 AM) for ongoing coverage
Skills
Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
Previous locums experience a plus
Must be comfortable with solo in-house call
