Two hospitals near Toledo, OH are in search of a Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to provide locum coverage for 1-2 weekends per month, starting ASAC.

• Locations: Toledo, OH & Perrysburg, OH
• Schedule: one to two weekends/month, Sat 7am - Mon 7am
• Start ASAC, credentialing 30-90 days, depending on background. Locum coverage needed through July 2024.
• Expenses Covered: Travel, Lodging, Malpractice Insurance

DETAILS:

• Average Number of ICU Patients Per Day: 16-20
• Average Number of Inpatient (non ICU) Patients per Physician per Day: 20
• Average Number of Admissions per Physician per Day: 6-8
• Trauma Level/Designation: Level 1 for Toledo. Perrysburg is small community based hospital
• Number of ICU Beds: 20
• Number of Critical Care Physicians in Group: 5, other providers will be present during coverage
• Locum may be required to supervise resident physicians, if they are on service during that time
• EMR: EPIC

Required Procedures/Duties:

• Invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy)
• Non-Invasive (BiPAP/CPAP)
• Central Line, Arterial Line, PA Catheter, Thoracentesis
• Chest tube insertion
• Bronchoscopy, Bronchoscopy w/ Bronchial alveolar lavage (BAL)
• Evaluation and Management of Acute Volume/BP Issues

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Ohio license preferred (will consider providers needing to obtain)
• Board Certified Pulmonary Critical Care
• Active ACLS, BLS, Conscious Sedation Certified
• Active DEA
• Flu Shot
• Covid Vaccine (preferred)
