Position Overview

We are seeking qualified Psychiatry Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Oregon. This assignment involves providing psychiatric care to an adult patient population in an inpatient behavioral health setting.

The physician will work as part of a collaborative healthcare team and will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, patient management, rounding, admissions, and treatment planning.

Assignment Details

• Adult inpatient behavioral health setting
• Approximately 32–35 beds
• Monday through Friday schedule
• 11-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• No call responsibilities
• Collaborative team environment
• Provider will not work solo
• Electronic Medical Record experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric care to adult patients in an inpatient setting
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Manage admissions and daily patient rounding
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Meet all facility credentialing and privileging requirements

Requirements

• MD or DO with specialization in Psychiatry
• Active Oregon medical license required
• IMLC accepted
• Current BLS certification required
• Recent inpatient or consultative psychiatry experience preferred
• Ability to meet hospital privileging requirements
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required
