Psychiatry Physician - Behavioral Health Opportunity
Description
We are seeking a qualified Physician specializing in Psychiatry to join a Behavioral Health team beginning November 30, 2026. This position offers a balanced inpatient and outpatient psychiatry schedule with a combination of scheduled coverage and optional on-call responsibilities.
The role is a full-time equivalent (FTE 1.0) position with one available opening. The physician will provide psychiatric care across inpatient and outpatient settings, including telepsychiatry coverage opportunities for select weekend assignments.
About the Facility
This Behavioral Health program provides comprehensive psychiatric services through a combination of inpatient and outpatient care. The role supports patients across multiple care settings and includes collaboration involving clinical care, court-related responsibilities when needed, and telepsychiatry services.
Weekend inpatient telepsychiatry coverage occurs approximately once per quarter and may be completed remotely for providers residing in Washington.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and treatment for inpatient and outpatient populations.
- Manage inpatient psychiatric care for approximately 5-7 shifts per month.
- Provide outpatient psychiatric services for approximately 12-19 clinic days per month.
- Participate in scheduled coverage with optional on-call responsibilities.
- Provide occasional night call coverage.
- Provide weekend inpatient telepsychiatry coverage approximately once per quarter.
- Complete clinical documentation and care coordination responsibilities.
- Participate in court-related responsibilities when required, with occasional early start times.
- Support both inpatient and outpatient workflows based on scheduled needs.
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible Physician specializing in Psychiatry.
- Experience providing inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care.
- Ability to manage a blended inpatient/outpatient schedule.
- Comfortable participating in occasional call coverage.
- Ability to provide telepsychiatry services when applicable.
- Strong communication, assessment, and patient management skills.
Working Hours
Schedule: Scheduled + optional on-call coverage
Shift: Standard day shift
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts)
Clinic Days:
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Includes a 1-hour lunch break
Inpatient/Outpatient Split Days:
- 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Inpatient responsibilities
- 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch
- 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Outpatient clinic
Additional Schedule Details:
- Occasional start time of 7:30 AM for court responsibilities.
- Block schedules are not available.
- Current approved coverage extends through February 28, 2027.
