A growing outpatient behavioral health organization in New York is seeking a Board Certified Psychiatrist for a full time Medical Director locum assignment. This role blends hands on clinical care with real leadership impact in a collaborative, mission driven environment.

Position Highlights
--Full time schedule
--Initial 3 month contract with potential for extension
--Target start date within 30 days pending background checks
--Approximately 60% clinical and 40% administrative responsibilities
--Outpatient setting
--Hybrid flexibility may be considered
--Leadership role supervising an established psychiatric team
--Opportunity to help shape clinical operations, policies, and program development

Clinical Details
--Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
--Initial evaluations scheduled for 60 minutes
--Medication follow up visits scheduled for 15 minutes
--Patient population includes children, adolescents, and adults, with the youngest patients around age 5
--Majority adult patient mix (70%)
--Supported by an established multidisciplinary behavioral health team

Leadership Responsibilities
--Clinical supervision and support of 5 Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners
--Participation in quality improvement initiatives
--Oversight of clinical standards and documentation
--Collaboration with organizational leadership on program growth and service delivery

Requirements
--Board Certified Psychiatrist
--Active New York license as well as NY Medicare/Medicaid
--DEA registration required
--Prior leadership, supervisory, community mental health, or addiction experience preferred
