Job description
We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in Hartford, Connecticut. This is a full-time opportunity at a pediatric hospital covering the consult and liaison service and an integrated medical-psychiatric unit. Please see below for more information.
- Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
Job Responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric care on an integrated medical-psychiatric unit
• Carry a daily patient load of approximately 5 to 15 patients on the consult service and 4 to 10 patients on the integrated unit
• Treat a patient population ages 3 to 21, primarily ages 6 to 18
• Oversee residents and fellows on the consult and liaison service
• Practice paired with psychology on the consult service and with a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner on the integrated unit
• Apply established clinical experience in inpatient psychiatry or psychiatric emergency care
Qualifications
• Active Connecticut medical license or IMLC
• DEA
Working Hours
Five shifts per week
Full-time coverage
No call
