We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry physician for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. This is an inpatient adolescent psychiatry opportunity involving rounding, night call coverage, and admission management. Please see below for more information.
EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Administer and manage psychiatric medications in adolescent patients, including psychopharmacology
Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
Manage challenging behaviors in adolescent patients
Place admission orders for patients accepted during call shifts
Provide rounding coverage on assigned days
Lead the multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
Active California medical license (no IMLC)
DEA registration with Schedule II/IIN
BLS (AHA only)
Working Hours
Monday/Tuesday: 8a–5p on site, followed by night call until 8a
Weekends: Approximately 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8a; on call until 8a the following day after rounding
Night call (Mon/Tues) and 24-hour weekend coverage; admission orders expected for patients arriving during call shifts
