Job description
We are seeking a Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. This is an adolescent inpatient psychiatry assignment. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Round on adolescent psychiatric inpatients
Manage psychiatric medications for children and adolescents
Apply knowledge of adolescent development and family systems in patient care
Lead and coordinate care within a multidisciplinary treatment team
Place admission orders for patients arriving during call shifts
Qualifications
California state medical license
CA DEA with Schedule II/IIN
BLS (AHA)
Working Hours
Monday/Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on site, followed by night call until 8:00 AM
Weekends: approximately 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8:00 AM, then on call until 8:00 AM the following day
Night call Monday/Tuesday; 24-hour coverage plus rounding on weekends
Approximately 6–12 patients per day
