Job description JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: Psychiatrist (Geriatric)
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Boise, ID
• Service Setting: Outpatient
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing (Minimum 2 Months)
• Clinical Shift Schedule: 1 Day per Week (Flexible, M–Th) | 8a-430p

COVERAGE DATES
• ASAP – Ongoing (Minimum 2 Months)

PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics (No patients under 18)
• Patient Volume/Census: 14–16 Patients per Day
• Case Mix: Outpatient psychiatry follow-ups for medication management only (no intakes)

FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: Not Applicable (Outpatient Setting)
• Office Equipment Available: Standard outpatient clinic equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Behavioral health support team
• Support Staff Available: Clinical and administrative staff
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered (Preference for providers within short travel distance)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Psychiatric medication management
• Follow-up evaluations and care planning
• Documentation and patient monitoring

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Idaho License Required or IMLC Accepted
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Experience: Experience in outpatient psychiatry and geriatric population preferred
• Other Qualifications: Ability to work independently in outpatient setting

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide outpatient psychiatric care focused on medication management
• Conduct follow-up visits for established patients
• Develop and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters
