Blue Island Health Center has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, on-site Psychiatrist position in Cook County, Illinois, focused on acute psychiatric care in a crisis setting.
Position Highlights:
- Role: Psychiatrist – Psychiatric Crisis Services
- Location: On-site in Cook County, IL
- Compensation: $250/hour
- Schedule: Full-time
Job Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and oversight to a team of ~5 APRNs
Supervise psychiatric evaluations and care for adults (18+) in acute crisis
Ensure high-quality screening and stabilization of patients in the ER prior to transfer to the crisis center
Guide care for individuals experiencing psychological distress, acute mental health episodes, and other crisis-level conditions
Working Hours
No weekends or on call
