We have an excellent full-time opportunity for a BC/BE Child and Adolescent psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary psychiatry team.
The Program:
The psychiatric services program provides a key element of care for mental health throughout Western North Carolina. Provides short-term inpatient care for adults who need crisis stabilization, and partners with community mental health system to minimize re-hospitalization and promote positive outcomes for patients.

The Program:

Provides short-term inpatient care for adults who need crisis stabilization, and partners with community mental health system to minimize re-hospitalization and promote positive outcomes for patients.
- 9 Bed Adolescent and 8 Bed Child Psychiatry unit
- 23 Bed Emergency Department Psychiatric Evaluation Area
- Two Adult, One Geriatric, One Child, and One Adolescent Inpatient Units totaling 57 beds
- Consultation on the Pediatrics Service and in the Emergency Department
- Psychiatric consultation to a new Child and Adolescent Facility Based Crisis Unit
- Structured outpatient program with group therapy focus
- Active ECT Program
- Involvement in teaching and supervision as part of new regional psychiatry residency training program with academic appointment possible
- Focusing on child and adolescent psychiatry
- Providing some adult inpatient and consultation/liaison services
