Job Description

Last Update: 12/02/21

Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division is recruiting for a BE/BC child and adolescent psychiatrist. Qualified candidates must have completed an ACGME accredited fellowship indicating advanced training in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Qualified candidates will be integral to the growth and expansion of the Division. Development of inpatient psychiatric services is a key feature of this position, and will focus on rotation as attending on the inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit. The inpatient unit boasts a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, pharmacists, therapists, nurses, and behavioral technicians. This position will also provide consultation and liaison psychiatry services to Children’s Hospital medical subspecialties, including active heart transplant and advanced heart failure programs, end stage renal disease and kidney transplant programs, hematology/oncology, diabetes and gender-based endocrinology, and cystic fibrosis. Multidisciplinary collaboration with the Department of Pediatric Psychology, and a broad psychosocial team including art and music therapy, child life, education, and social work provide further programmatic support to the successful candidate. This position also includes opportunities to contribute to the growth of the division's outpatient practice.

The successful candidate will work closely with a team of established child and adolescent psychiatrists, and report to the Medical Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division.
Plans are also in place to develop an ACGME-accredited Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship training program. Opportunities for research exist and are encouraged.

This is a full-time employed position. The position offers a competitive benefit and compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.

The area boasts beautiful beaches, great recreational and educational resources, and an international airport.
