Job Description

Last Update: 5/02/22

Tenet Healthcare and University Pediatricians are actively seeking a Child Psychiatrist for a full-time position at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit, MI. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates that are interested in building a program with the support of one of the largest children’s hospitals in the state.

Time will be split between consults on the hospital floors and coverage for the emergency room. Weekends and evenings will have rotating coverage. An interest in academics is preferred as teaching medical students, residents, and potentially fellows will be required.

Since 1886, the Children’s Hospital of Michigan has been dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to children and adolescents in a caring, efficient, and family-centered environment. A proud member of the Detroit Medical Center (DMC), the Children’s Hospital of Michigan is the first and largest freestanding hospital in the state that is completely dedicated to serving children.

This 228-bed facility has an international reputation in pediatric medicine, surgery and research, and training more pediatricians than any other facility in Michigan. CHM offers more than 40 pediatric medical and surgical specialty services and draws patients from nearly every Michigan County, 39 additional states, and 22 countries annually. The Children’s Hospital of Michigan is home to a freestanding Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, verified by the American College of Surgeons and a dedicated pediatric burn center, one of a few in the nation to be verified by the American Burn Association (ABA) and the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons (ACS).

Candidates must be BE/BC with fellowship training in Child Psychiatry and eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Michigan. An interest in academics and/or research is a plus.

If interested, please submit your current CV for immediate consideration. All inquiries and personal information are kept confidential.
