We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry physician for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Administer and manage psychiatric medications in children and adolescents, including psychopharmacology and psychotherapies
Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans in coordination with a multidisciplinary team
Manage challenging behaviors in adolescent patients using therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
Lead the multidisciplinary team, overseeing patient care and providing guidance and supervision
Apply knowledge of adolescent development and family systems to patient care
Apply understanding of legal frameworks, educational provisions, and safeguarding protocols for adolescent patients
Qualifications
Active California state license required (No IMLC)
CA DEA with Schedule 2/2N required
BLS
Working Hours
Length of Assignment: 26 weeks
Coverage: 2 weekends/month + the following Monday/Tuesday
Shift Times:
Monday/Tuesday: 8a–5p on site, then night call until 8a
Weekends: 6 hours of rounding starting at 8a, then on call until 8a the following day
Call: Night call Monday/Tuesday; 24-hour coverage plus rounding on weekends
