We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in San Francisco, CA. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Place admission orders for patients arriving during night call shifts
Round on patients on weekends
Administer and manage psychiatric medications in children and adolescents
Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and parents/guardians
Manage challenging behaviors using therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
Lead the multidisciplinary team, overseeing patient care and providing guidance and supervision
Qualifications
California state license required (no IMLC)
California DEA with Schedule 2/2N required
BLS (AHA) required
Working Hours
Weekends: approximately 6 hours of rounding beginning at 8:00 AM, followed by on-call coverage until 8:00 AM the following day
Call structure: night call Monday/Tuesday and 24-hour coverage plus rounding on weekends
