PSYCHIATRY – CHILD AND ADOLESCENT PSYCHIATRY

POSITION SUMMARY
The Department seeks a child and adolescent psychiatry specialist to join a multidisciplinary behavioral health program serving youth across inpatient, outpatient, and crisis service settings. The role supports a newly developed center designed to expand access to comprehensive pediatric behavioral health care. Responsibilities may include inpatient care, outpatient services, or a blended model depending on clinical interest.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Psychiatry and/or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Residency training in psychiatry.
• Training or experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in Illinois.
• Interest in providing psychiatric care across a continuum of youth behavioral health services.
COMPETENCIES
• Ability to evaluate and manage a broad range of child and adolescent behavioral health conditions.
• Skill in collaborating with advanced practice professionals, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to patient-centered, developmentally appropriate psychiatric care.
• Effective communication within a comprehensive behavioral health system.
• Capacity to support program growth and integrated care delivery.
WORK SETTING & ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment: Hospital; Inpatient; Outpatient; Clinic/Private Practice
• Care delivery within a dedicated child and adolescent behavioral health center.
• Opportunities for inpatient, outpatient, IOP, and PHP clinical roles.
• Collaboration with advanced practice professionals, therapists, and neuropsychology services.
• Access to modern facilities designed for youth behavioral health care.
• Participation in a rotating call schedule limited to child and adolescent services.
