Job description
A facility in MA is seeking a board-certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage. This is an ongoing assignment starting ASAP for scheduled clinical hours only (no call). You will provide inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents.
Qualifications
• Hold an active Massachusetts medical license (facility requires MA licensure).
• Current certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS.
• Completion of CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training for child and adolescent patients.
• Experience treating a broad range of psychiatric disorders including anxiety, affective, ADHD, personality, eating, developmental, psychotic and organic disorders.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, restraint application, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy and ECT.
• Ability to obtain temporary hospital privileges; estimated credentialing time is about 90 days.
