We are seeking two full-time Locum Psychiatrists to join their Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit as soon as credentialed. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-supported hospital environment with strong security measures and collaborative inpatient teams.
Position Details:
Setting: General Adult Behavioral Health Unit
Beds: 30-bed adult unit (15 patients per provider)
Total Behavioral Health Beds: 63
Inpatient Team: 3 current inpatient physicians + 2 locum openings
Outpatient Team (fully staffed): 5 physicians + 1 APP
EMR: EPIC
🕒 Schedule & Call:
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call Rotation: 1:4
Weekend call may include crisis evaluations (rare pediatric evaluations in crisis unit only; pediatric patients are transferred if admitted)
Safety & Support:
24/7 hospital security presence
All staff trained to attend codes
Collaborative, team-based care model
Requirements:
Board Certified in Psychiatry
ACLS Certification
Active New York License
Full-time availability
