Job description This is a high-impact Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatry opportunity in Massachusetts with a consistent patient census and strong clinical support. If you are looking for meaningful work in a structured inpatient setting with manageable volume and long-term continuity potential, this is an excellent locums assignment to secure.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adolescents
• Perform daily rounding and ongoing medication management
• Conduct new psychiatric evaluations and follow-up care
• Participate in treatment team planning and interdisciplinary coordination
• Manage behavioral escalations and crisis stabilization as needed
• Utilize appropriate inpatient protocols for involuntary holds and safety interventions
• Provide clinical oversight for seclusion and restraint when required
• Collaborate with nursing and APP support staff to ensure safe patient care

Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts medical license required
• Board Certified required (must be Child & Adolescent certified)
• CPI training required
• ACLS required
• BLS required
• PALS required
• ATLS required
• ABLS required
• Must be Board Certified in specialty listed on assignment request
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days
• Fellowship preferred

Working Hours

• Start Date: 03/11/2026
• Duration: Ongoing
• Scheduled clinical hours only
• No call coverage listed
• Average patient volume: 6–10 per shift
• Unit size: 10 beds
• Follow-up to new evaluation ratio: 10:1
