A mission-driven safety-net provider is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join their outpatient behavioral health team. This role offers a strong work-life balance, a hybrid schedule (3 remote days weekly), no call, and the opportunity to care for children and adolescents within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. This position is open due to a retirement and will assume an established panel.

Job Description:


Compensation : $260000 - $270000 Job ID : 42988

Job Function:

  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children and adolescents (60-minute new patient evaluations).

  • Conduct 15-minute follow-up medication management appointments.

  • Manage and treat an inherited panel of approximately 400 pediatric patients (not all on medication).

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

  • Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications as clinically appropriate.

  • Collaborate closely with LCSWs, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care.

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

  • Participate in hybrid schedule: 3 remote days and 2 on-site clinic days (9:00am–5:00pm; optional evening hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 7:00pm).

  • Manage an average patient volume of approximately 20 patients per day, depending on no-shows.

  • Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Psychiatry and Pediatric Residents (optional/additional opportunity).

  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans.


Job Requirements:
  • MD or DO from an accredited institution.
  • Active NYS medical license (or ability to obtain).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Experience in community psychiatry and/or urban outpatient settings.
  • Spanish/English bilingual ability highly desirable.
