Description
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist (Adult, Pediatric, or Adolescent) to provide high-quality inpatient psychiatric care in a busy, collaborative hospital setting. The role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of behavioral health conditions for an acute psychiatric inpatient population. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care and contribute to program quality and patient outcomes.
About the Facility
This hospital campus serves a diverse urban community in the Boston metro area and is part of an academic, community-focused health system with strong ties to leading medical schools, including Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine. The inpatient mental health program includes a state-of-the-art Center for Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatry with approximately 69 psychiatric beds designated for youth (children, adolescents, and neurodevelopmental disorders) - one of the largest such programs in the state. While the campus is not designated as a trauma center, it offers a broad range of clinical services in a teaching hospital environment.

Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams including nursing, social work, and therapy services
Document clinical care accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to program development
Support admissions, coordination of care, and discharge planning
Qualifications
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Active Massachusetts medical license (or eligibility)
Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred
Strong ability to work collaboratively with care teams and patients
Working Hours
No on‑call requirements
Daily patient volume averaging 8–10 patients
Focused inpatient clinical care
Skills
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
Excellent clinical documentation and organizational skills
Strong communication skills with patients, families, and team members
Comfortable managing a diverse clinical population with acute psychiatric needs
