We are seeking Board-Certified Psychiatrists for full-time locum coverage on their Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, starting as soon as credentialed.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a well-supported inpatient setting with EPIC EMR and strong security measures.
Position Details:
Setting: Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit
Beds:30-bed general adult unit split between 2 physicians (15 patients per provider)
63 total inpatient beds
Inpatient Team:
3 current inpatient physicians
2 additional locum psychiatrists needed
Outpatient Team (fully staffed): 5 physicians + 1 APP
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call: 1:4
EMR: EPIC
Patient Population
Adult inpatient psychiatry
Pediatrics: Only seen in the crisis unit during weekend call; children are evaluated and transferred to an adolescent facility if admission is required
Safety & Support
24/7 hospital security
All staff participate in code responses
Well-established inpatient psychiatric services
Requirements:
Board Certified in Psychiatry
Active New York medical license
ACLS certification
Self-Query NPDB report
