• Clinical Shift Schedule: Day shifts during scheduled coverage blocks

PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Children and Adolescents
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 10–12 patients per day
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included
• Case Mix: Inpatient child and adolescent behavioral health including a full range of psychiatric conditions

FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 28 inpatient beds
• EMR System: TBD
• Office Equipment Available: Standard inpatient behavioral health resources
• Specialty Backup Available: Multidisciplinary behavioral health team
• Support Staff Available: Nursing and behavioral health clinical staff
• Reason for Coverage: Coverage for scheduled inpatient needs

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Rate: Fixed locum rates
• Overtime: Daily overtime after 12 hours; weekly overtime after 168 hours
• Malpractice Insurance: Covered

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Psychiatric evaluations and treatment planning
• Medication management
• Inpatient psychiatric stabilization

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Connecticut medical license
• Board: Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
• DEA: As required by facility
• Certifications: As required by facility
• Experience: Inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry experience required
• Other Qualifications: Willingness to provide outpatient care if needed

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide inpatient psychiatric care for child and adolescent patients
• Manage daily caseload including admissions and discharges
• Complete a minimum of two discharges per day when clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
