Large multi-specialty staff model HMO is seeking a full-time Board-Certified
Psychiatrist to join our Daytona Beach facility located in Volusia County.
Client would like an experienced Psychiatrist. Down the road their will be an option to serve in a dual role to provide direct clinical services to patients, as well as in a leadership role within the Behavioral Health Department.
*Office hours are flexible,
*outpatient only
*Call is limited and by telephone only
*Occasional travel to the six facilities that offer behavioral health services is required.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in evaluation and
treatment of various behavioral health conditions, leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for improving the quality of mental health services within a community.
The Behavioral Health Director will be responsible for overseeing clinical operations,implementing quality improvement initiatives, and regular communication with the CMO and other designated designees.
Clinical Duties – averages 80% of allocated time
Psychiatrist for a busy outpatient behavioral health department specializing in a mix of mental health and substance abuse.
Conducts individual, family, and group therapy.
Team based approach, including full scope of support staff with tenured Psychiatrists, PMHNPs,
LCSWs, LMHCs, Crisis Intervention team, Intensive Outreach program, and Addiction Services, with
Suboxone Clinic.
Administrative Duties – averages 20% of allocated time
Participation in the development of clinical practice standards, policies, and procedures across our multispecialty medical group.
Provide oversight and leadership for all Behavioral Health Providers within the Department.
Establishes and maintains positive communication and relationships with BH Department Providers and staff, internal programs and other agencies, contractors, referral sources, service providers, family members, and community representatives.
Coordinates with the Behavioral Health Practice Manager to ensure timely service delivery for patients.
Responsible for supervision of scheduling and caseload management in support of clinical staff in
response to contractual obligations for service delivery.
Responsible for effective implementation of all clinical services.
Work closely with Medical Leadership, to include the Chief Medical Officer and other designees, to enhance and ensure quality Behavioral Health Care for members.
Works in close collaboration with physicians and other health care personnel in patient evaluation and treatment to further their understanding of significant social and emotional factors underlying patient's health problem.
Monitors ongoing training, utilization review and peer review for clinical Providers within the
Department.
Support duties as required regarding utilization management of the service benefits and additional duties as assigned.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities, development and monitoring of client initiatives, and other activities that support quality of care.
Conducts regular Provider and staff meetings to encourage collaborative work within the Department and foster communication and teamwork.
Attends required in-service, departmental and organizational meetings. Participates in clinical review of cases.
