Job Description:

Job Function:

• Provide and oversee psychiatric services, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive care across the health services team.

• Collaborate with the Associate Psychiatric Director to design and implement integrated behavioral health models.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, provide crisis intervention, and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in collaboration with clients’ Primary Care Providers.

• Offer consultation and clinical guidance to staff regarding psychiatric assessments and client dispositions.

• Coordinate and assess hospitalizations in partnership with the interdisciplinary care team.

• Actively participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, discharge plan.

Job Requirements:

• Must hold a valid license to practice medicine in New York State (M.D. or D.O.).

• Completion of psychiatry training with certification or eligibility for certification is required.

• Understanding of state mental health standards and compliance practices is expected.

• BE/BC in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
