Psychiatrist – Adults + Pediatrics

We are seeking a Psychiatrist who can treat both adults and pediatric patients for inpatient Behavioral Health coverage at in Appleton, WI. This role includes daytime rounding and night call coverage, with occasional adult-only cross-coverage at Mercy Hospital (Oshkosh).

Assignment Details

• Location: Appleton, WI

• Patient Population: Adults + Pediatrics (children/adolescents)

• Shift Times:
  • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Night Call: 5:00 PM – 8:00 AM (remote call)
  
  7 on 7 off schedule
  

• Unit Capacity: 15 beds

• Average Daily Census: 8–12 patients combined

• Average Admissions: 1–2 per shift

Night Call Expectations

• Average 5–6 calls per night

• Handle behavioral health concerns, medication issues, and admissions

• Must be comfortable managing pediatric calls when assigned to St. Elizabeth

Requirements

• BC/BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, General Psychiatry with adolescent inpatient experience, or dual-trained (Family Psychiatry / Med-Psych)

• Ability to treat both adult and pediatric psychiatric patients

• Willing to cross-cover adults at Mercy Hospital as needed

• Wisconsin license or ability to obtain

Summary

This position is ideal for Psychiatrists able to care for both adult and pediatric psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting. Providers will primarily support the St. Elizabeth Behavioral Health unit with some cross-coverage needs at the adult-only Oshkosh campus.
