Job Opportunity: Psychiatrist – Child & Adolescent (Locums)
Location: San Francisco, California
Start Date: November 17, 2025 ongoing
Schedule: Day, night, and weekend coverage; 6 hours onsite rounding (starting 8:00 AM) followed by on-call until 8:00 AM next day; weekend call coverage 1–2 weekends/month
Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Psychiatry/Behavioral Health
Assignment Overview
- Patient census: 6–12 patients/day
- Inpatient psychiatry with adolescent population focus
- Scheduled + call coverage required
- Observed facility holidays
- EMR: Cerner
Candidate Requirements
- Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry OR
BC in General Psychiatry with completed CAP fellowship – Required - Active CA medical license – Required
- DEA & CSR – Required
- ACLS & BLS – Required
- COVID-19 vaccine + booster (medical/religious exemptions only) – Required
- Experience in psychopharmacology, psychotherapies, adolescent development, family systems, and de-escalation techniques – Required
Team & Support
- Multidisciplinary behavioral health team
- Collaborative treatment planning with families and staff
- No APP supervision required
