Job Overview – Part-Time Psychiatrist/Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Adolescent Mental Health):
Compensation: $110 – $185/hour (Dependent on experience)
Location: Bronx, NY
Schedule: 16-20 hours/week
Deliver trauma-informed care as a Part-Time Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Bronx, NY with our client, supporting adolescent patients in foster care and school-based programs. In this role, you'll perform psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, respond to crises, and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams. Experience with MDLand and Netsmart EMRs is preferred, along with a commitment to least-restrictive, evidence-based treatment plans.

- Crisis Response: Deliver clinical interventions and provide backup coverage for urgent psychiatric situations.
- Collaborative Care: Coordinate with school teams, case managers, and clinicians to ensure integrated, person-centered care.
- Medication Management: Reduce polypharmacy through evidence-based prescribing and least-restrictive approaches.
- EMR Compliance: Maintain thorough, timely documentation across MDLand and Netsmart/MyEvolv systems.
- Licensure: Active New York State license as a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is required.
- Certification: Current DEA registration with eligibility to prescribe controlled substances is required.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience providing psychiatric care to adolescents, ideally within foster care, school-based, or community mental health settings.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in electronic medical records; experience with MDLand and Netsmart/MyEvolv preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Understanding of trauma-informed care, youth psychiatry, and Medicaid billing practices.
- Skills & Attributes: Compassionate, collaborative, and adaptable clinician with excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Additional: Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
